The Max Speed of a Bafang 250 watts 48 volt BBS01 is approx 15 mph (25km/h) on flat ground. Built-in PAS helps you get power assist without using the throttle, it make the riding more comfortable.
 
Compare to Rear or Front Hub
Electric bikes with mid drive kit have the most direct response that you can get from a pedal-assist. Bafang mid drive kit has a balanced low center of gravity than hub, if you prefer the performance, mid-drive motors will tend to be the better choice.
 
Brake Levers 
The kit will work with or without the brake sensors plugged in. The Bafang kit does not come with brake sensors, you can select the brake levers option made for standard cable actuated brakes. You also have the option of getting magnet sensors which allows you to adapt your existing brakes.
 
Legal To Ride
It should be noted that in order to comply with UK, EU e-bike laws, maximum continuous power output should not exceed 250 watt – in this case, the Bafang motor BBS01 250 watt is legal. More over, 250w electric bike conversion kit is a cheap electric bike conversion kit for beginner.
